I was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1983. I received my B.Sc. degree both in Mechanical Engineering in 2007 and in Manufacturing Engineering (double major) in 2008, my M.Sc degree in Mechatronics Engineering in 2010 and my Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014 all from Istanbul Technical University. I worked as an postdoctoral researcher at The Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research in 2015. Then, I served as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Istanbul Okan University from 2016 to 2019. Since March 2019, I am working as an assistant professor at Yildiz Technical University.

  • I am almost continously looking for motivated graduate students interested in the research areas of

    • automated vehicle control,

    • vehicle dynamics control and estimation,

    • robust control systems and applications.

  • Qualifications for graduate students:

    • Strong background in control systems, estimation theory and dynamic systems modelling.

    • Good programming skills and experience in Matlab/Simulink.

    • A background in vehicle dynamics is a plus.

  • I recommend to take the following courses to the graduate students interested in doing research with me:

    • KOM5108: Advanced Control Methods for Dynamic Systems

    • KOM6103: Automated Driving Control Systems
